24-year old Crocker resident John Mazurek caused a fatal head-on collision Thursday afternoon near Meta, Missouri. Highway patrol and emergency officials responded Thursday to the accident on Highway 133 just south of Meta. Mazurek was traveling north on Highway 33 when he crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle head on. The other vehicle was being driven by 57-year old Wilberta Randolph. 85-year old Helen Wieberg was riding as a passenger in Randolph's car. Randolph's suffered fatal injuries from the collision, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Passenger Weiberg sustained 'serious' injury and was taken by emergency helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia. Wieberg's current conditions are unknown.
